So, so far I've really enjoyed the guardians TV show and it is of course my favourite Marvel TV show. I've seen some good episodes and some ones that were just okay. Then, We are family, comes along and I had mixed feeling about it so I decieded to do a review of it. Well here goes. Frist off I'm starting to get a bit sick of the whole Cosmic Seed thing. I know it's the main fourcus of season one but it's just beginning to get repetitive. Also I didn't like that bit between Rockat and Drax with, "I lost my family too but you don't see me crying about it." Didn't we see/hear something a bit like this in the film and all think, oh my gosh Rocket is being a jerk and  really mean to Drax, then at the bit with the patting we were all like, Awwww, now Rocket knows what it's like to lose somebody and Drax is trying to comfort him. They are going to become friends. My point is that it didn't fit in here and after losing Groot I don't think Rocket would still be that insensitive about Drax's family.

The next bit however was really good. The whole bit with the team fighting the robots that were after Rocket and Groot was exciting and well done. I have to say I also thought the part with Rocking and Quill hiding and blabbing behind that rock was very funny and in character with the film as was Drax's lines about swimming being for cowards and water being untrustworthy.

Moving on a bit now to Halfworld. I know a lot of people didn't like the rebellion thing but I think it made sense and it was nice to see both Blackjack and Wal-Russ apper in the show but it could have also done with Lylla. Saddy this is were episode goes very down hill. Not all the way as it still had some great things in it. Here are a few noticeble things with the Halfworld act and what I think of them.  First off was Rocket's family. *Loud roar* What by Odin's beard was wrong with Rocket's mum? To start with her voice was horrible and just annoying and second she was a b@*~h. I mean she sees her son for the first time in who knows how long and the first thing she does is insult him and try to make him feel small. Lady this is the son that saved you from being tortuered, torn apart, mutated and goodness knows what eles and all you can do is insult him and call him runt? Rocket's mum was horrid and his sister was both horrid and practically none existencetent. I think during the whole episode she said two maybe three lines.

Then there is Rocket's brother and he's plain awesome. His design was good and he had a powerful voice. Yes I know his voice wasn't liked because it made him sound about forty but then he was Rocket's OLDAR brother. What really made him awesome however was that other then a few uses of the name runt he was a nice guy.(well raccoon) He hardly ever said anything mean to Rocket, he said sorry when he took Rocket's crystal, said he enjoyed his time with Rocket and also wanted Rocket in a selfie. See an awesome guy.

Okay now about the story and such. Like I said before the rebellion a good story point and the twist that one of the Halfworlders was bad worked as well. However it was a bit stupid making a comic good-guy into a TV show bad-guy. It should have been Judson Jake.(an evil mole from the Rocket comics) Save for the evolution rubbish that was...well rubbish(No I'm not going to start off an argument about not believing in evolution)  the Haflworlder's transformations were super cool and I love it that we got to effectively see Rocket turn into the Hulk(okay so it was Ranger but still) This lad onto a great fight scene between the guaridnas and Halfworlders and had one of Drax's best lines yet. But this episod also did something unforgivable. *Angry roar* They turned the evil robots into good-guys. WHAT THE...*things of words that would make even Rocket blush* How could the makers of the show do something that idiotic. It's always been part of Rocket's story and character that he was the victim of evil. The people/robots that experimented on him were meant to be cold-hearted monsters that saw his as less that dirt but instead this show just makes the crule swines say, "Oh dear silly us. We did it wrong last time, won't happen again." That was just SO dumb. Man alive I feel like killing something.

That being said it made up for some of that by giving us the saddest bit of the entire show (by far) when Rocket's family ran away from him a second time. His line, "Goodbye...again." and the fact that he shed tears was heartbracking. It reminded us that Rocket is a very complicated and deep character who despite saying otherwise really does care about those around him.

My verdict
Pros
Good character building with Rocket.
Exciting,funny and touching.
Nice visuals
The Halfworld characters were on the whole great. The  best being Rnager.

Cons

Rocket's mum and sister were poor.
Judson Jake and not Pyko should have been the villian.
It was beyond idiotic to make the robots good.

All in all this was a good episode but it could have and should have been a lot better. Still despite doing some truely stupid things I for one hope we haven't seen the last of Haflword and I really, really, really want Ranger to come back in. I need some cute big/little brother interaction between him and Rocket. Raccoon brothers forever!
What do you all think? Was I fair or not?

Note: What I have said here are OOC views and may not be the views of Rocket

I see your point and it's a very fair and logical point. This could've been a great episode to explore Rocket's past and a bit of Groot's, but there were a lot of bad things that ruined the god things. I really hope that someone makes a really good fan fiction on this on this. This idea had potential, but it went downhill fast after some really bad idea...it's probably because it's a "kid's show." Sometimes I wish some shows were made for a older audience...
Thanks for your thoughts abd opinion! 😀
